I was feeling very reflective today and since summer is quickly winding down I figured it was time for a recap post. Labor Day weekend means a few things in the Twin Cities-

1) Its the unofficial end of summer

2) You need to get to the state fair and eat something on a stick

3) Back to school (most schools don’t start until the day after the holiday)

This summer has been AMAZING  and probably the best summer of my 28 years.

Here are just a few of the many things that happened-

I Started The Blog

Chris and Ivy Got Married

I Graduated and Got My MBA

We Left for Italy

We Got Married

A Good Friend From High School Got Married in WI

Had A Big Old Party to Celebrate the Wedding (I didn’t blog about this)

Had A Great Time with Friends

Tried a Local, Farmers Market Dinner

Tried Some Chinese Medicine

Moved the Blog to Word press

Celebrated my Mom’s 50th Bay

And these are just a few highlights- talk about a summer full of life events!! I am incredible fortunate to have an amazing husband and friends that are always there to support me and help me celebrate.

Here are a few things I am looking forward to this fall-

4 Trips to Madison to watch Badger Football (Mike’s Alma Mater)

The Gopher/Badger Game in the NEW Gopher Stadium (Both our Alma Maters)

Attending an Info Session on a Doctorate Program I am Looking At

Yeah its Thursday, my favorite day of the week!! I don’t have a day full of meetings so I can get lots and lots done. Breakfast is a Chobani Strawberry Greek yogurt and a Strawberry Odwalla bar. IMG_1548

A Hodgepodge Dinner

September 3, 2009

I didn’t know what I was in the mood for tonight so I looked through the fridge and grabbed some leftover Annie’s shells, a Bud Light Lime and a handful of Lime tortilla chip. Not exactly the perfect combination but it worked and it tasted ok. If I am going to have a beer I tend to want a full, hearty beer like a Summit or a Hefeweizen. The Bud Light Lime is leftover from our wedding party and I figured it was better than opening a full bottle of wine ;)

The agenda for the evening is to read, I am on book 9 of the Dead series that True Blood is based on. I LOVE these books and have read the whole series in less than 2 months. Next on my list is The Earth Hums in B Flat for my book club next week, I hope it is good!  One of my goals after I finished grad school was to join a book club and read. I have always liked to read and really enjoy it, reading is a big stress reliever for me. Being able to lose myself in a book is so important for my mental well being.

In other exciting news I booked my flight and hotel for the Foodbuzz Blogger festival, I am really excited to go to this and hope it is a great time and I meet other people who are passionate about the same things I am.
