They say there are two seasons in the Midwest- Road Construction and Winter. We definitely ran into that today on most of I-90, one lane and torn up roads. Argh. It leads to an additional half hour on the drive.
We had packed snacks so we I chugged a water, a Diet Dr Pepper and a Cherry Cashew Pure bar. I had only previously had the brownie but enjoyed this flavor but I would pick chocolate over fruit any day 
Around 9 we finally ran through Culvers and I had a cheeseburger and a few cheese cards. Hit the spot! It was completely dark so I opted to not take a picture. We just got checked into the hotel and are heading to bed… A good night of sleep is in my future!
Today kicks off our travels to Madison for Badger Football Games (Mike’s alma matter). We are leaving around 4:30 or 5 for the 4 hour drive, fun fun. At least I will have some decent reading time and a chance to listen to 80’s on 8. Yeah for 80’s music!
Breakfast today is a Chobani and a Granny Smith Apple (we need to finish these off before they go bad).
We have a group lunch today for Beka who got married in August, we have pizza and cake coming. Yum! Mike will pack snacks for the car so we can hopefully avoid stopping, once I am on the road I am determined to get there! We are staying at a hotel in Middleton and will be up early for the 11am game and hopefully will be stopping at a tailgate for a delicious bloody mary. Great way to start the college football season.
