Go Badgers Go!

September 12, 2009

We were up early and took advantage of the free hotel breakfast because of Mike’s status with Hilton so I had a big bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar, some granola, and cranberries. To go along with the oatmeal had some fruit, a piece of bacon and sausage. Very tasty!

Around 9 we headed towards campus to meet Scott, Genie and Reagan at the tailgate. It was nice to see everyone and even better to have a bloody mary. We had a special treat today and got to sit in the club level seats with Scott, Genie and Reagan and Scott’s dad. Air-conditioned, comfortable, good food heaven! This is one of the few times you will see me wearing Red- my motto in undergrad was Better Dead than Red. Husband you better be happy I support your team too! IMG_1648

I ordered a bloody mary, a New Glarus Spotted Cow (my favorite beer) a brat and a HUGE veggie basset that had asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and pepper for $3.50. a VERY good deal. IMG_1634IMG_1635IMG_1636

The view from our seats and the students doing Jump Around- I love that tradition IMG_1633IMG_1641IMG_1642

After the game we went back to the tailgate and I had a taste of a $150 dolar bottle of wine, it was good but I don’t know if it was THAT good. A few pics of the tailgate area and Scott and Genie.

We left the tailgate around 4 and ended up having to help a few guys by jumping their car. They were heading back to Illinois and their car battery went dead, so we helped them jump their car. Tonight we are heading to a wine bar with our friend Jeff and Nicole to enjoy some good wine and watch a bit of the Gopher game (my team!)
