After the craziness of the last couple weeks we really wanted to cook tonight! I got home from visiting my Mom, Step Dad and Brother around 4 and unloaded the car and presents, good some laundry going and barely set down before I figured we should get cooking. On the menu for the evening was our Dirty Risotto and the leftover white wine from making the risotto. The wine tonight was a Snoqaulimie 2007 Chardonnay from the Columbia Valley. It was very fruity and enjoyable, especially considering that I do not typically like white wine and really do not like Chardonnay.
It was very nice to see my two favorite faces, especially this furry one 
We had an extra special table this evening with my new cloth napkins and placemats that I got for Christmas from my Mom! I LOVE the bright colors
The risotto as always was delicious and very filling, we will be eating leftovers for a while.
I am off to bed and am praying I get some sleep, I am very anxious about tomorrow! Look for an early morning post announcing the exciting news
