We went out to dinner last night with a vendor at Verandah at the Four Seasons Las Vegas. I was super excited about trying this place because:

1) I have never even set foot inside a Four Seasons

2) My co- workers are so much fun!

Since no one knows about the blog I did not take pictures until dessert when everyone else wanted to take a picture of the amazing finish to our meal. This was an interesting meal, we started with 2 Flatbreads to share-

  • Tuscan Tomato, Roasted Bell Peppers, Confit Garlic, Caramelized Onion, Parmesan,
  • Prosciutto Bartlett Pear, Gorgonzola, San Danielle Prosciutto, Truffled Rocket Green

My salad was a White Port-Poached Pear Salad, Field Greens, Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans, Mulled Spice Vinaigrette. This was the best salad I have ever had! The main entree I choose was an Oxtail Pappardelle, Fresh Sage Pasta, Porcini, Burrata Cheese, Rosemary Sapore. This was the disappointing part of the meal, it was ice cold when it came out. I had to send it back and wait for a new one while everyone else pretty much finished their meals. :( And by the time I got a new one it wasn’t even very good! Sigh.

Dessert was redeeming but not enough that I would recommend the restaurant to anyone else.

  • Warm Ricotta Beignets with Amaretto Cookies, Lemon Curd, Chocolate Ganache Dipping
  • Mini Eskimos – Oven-Roasted Nuts and Chocolate-Covered Vanilla Ice Cream Bars

My overall thoughts was that it was a good restaurant but not the quality of food or caliber of service that I envisioned from the Four Seasons. Maybe it was just an off night. But…. there are so many other places in Vegas that I do not think I would go back.
