It is guilty pleasure confession time- one of my biggest ones is magazines. I love them and subscribe to a million about twenty. At any given time I have 3 or 4 to read. Here is my list:

Glamour

Fitness

Oxygen

Self

Real Simple

The Economist

Yoga Journal

Women’s Health

Clean Eating

Cooking Light

Everyday Food

Bon Appétit

Food Network Magazine

Health

I love the offers you get for $15 for about 3 years, talk about cheap entertainment! Tonight’s plan is to read Yoga Journal, Real Simple and Health.

What do you subscribe to (if any)?

Weekend Catch-Up

January 25, 2010

This weekend flew by and I barely had enough time to sit down, so blogging just didn’t happen. Here is what we did all weekend-

Spanish Wine and Cheese Party on Saturday Evening

Our friends Mike and Cathy had a get together where everyone brought a big hunk of Spanish Cheese and a Spanish Wine to pair with it. Lots of good wine and even better cheese- manchego, iberico, drunken goat, goat cheese and a few others. I had one small plate and about 2 glasses of wine. Everything in moderation ;)

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy

Sunday we were up early for a really good workout of cardio and a weight circuit. I think Mike was ready to lay on the floor by the time we were done! We headed to a see a house a 2nd time and really loved the house but we don’t love the neighborhood. Our house will be on the market in the next week and half! So scary all these potential changes that are coming.

After running a few errands and seeing some open houses we headed to Mike’s dads for Canadian Walleye and Northern. Jim goes fishing every year i in Canada and we have a fish dinner once a year to enjoy all the amazing fish he catches. They taste so good! Since they are pan fried they are not exactly the most healthy but still very tasty.  At least we had some salad to go with it ;)

We watched the Vikings/Saints game and I laughed as Mike and Jim were very very frustrated with their teams performance. Even though I am not a Viking fan I would like to see them have some success. Oh well, maybe next year.
