Hawk Like

February 23, 2010

Today flew by, all of a sudden I looked at the clock and it was after 5! I stopped at Sherwin Williams on the way home to get more paint samples and talk to a more experienced associate. I got great advice tonight! He pulled out samples and color cards and gave suggestions based on what I liked. Now I only have about a million things to look at ;)

I talked to my Mom for about 45 minutes and told her about the house and we talked about decorating and landscaping. I think she will come up late Spring to help us. I am not into landscaping but my Mom is amazing. I asked her to email photos of all of her gardens and planting. She really could be a master gardener! By the time we got off the phone it was close to 7:45 and I was starving. I thought of the quickest thing I could make- sandwich, fruit and veggies. We had some chicken and salami, pink lady apples and peapods. A great snacking kind of dinner. And maybe a piece or two of chocolate ;)

Clifford’s favorite treat is apples so he was watching me like a hawk to see if I would give him a few bites.

If you have a pet what is their favorite treat? Clifford loves apples and yogurt.

A Record

February 23, 2010

For the first time in my 10+ years of working out I noticed something at the gym today, there were more women than men in the weight room!!! There were about 10 women in there working hard and lifting weights and only a 3 men. Go ladies! Good for them for getting in the weight  room and lifting weights, it makes me so happy.

I spent a hard 30 minutes on the elliptical with an old issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It has been years since I have picked up an issue but it was in the magazine basket and I thought I would get some decorating ideas. They had some good suggestions of paint color combination that I wouldn’t have thought of. The had a room with olive greens, orange and light blue and it was really pretty.  Along with all the paint suggestions there were LOTS of organization tips. And since organization makes me happy ;)

Weights today were chest and shoulders and I will be nice and sore tomorrow, I  really do struggle with lats. I can only do 7.5 lbs but do keep trying to get that higher. I was seriously starving by the time I got to work so  I immediately dug into a Cliff Mojo Bar in Mountain Mix. Almonds, peanuts, raisins and chocolate chips are the items in this flavor and it is pretty darn tasty.

What is your favorite flavor of a bar?
