Take Out

March 16, 2010

Book Club tonight was so much fun- we actually discussed the book in length and had intelligent conversation about some of the themes behind the book. SO much fun! There was 7 of us and we spent an hour talking about the book and discussing what we would read for the next few months. So excited for a true book club, I hope it continues in the future. Next up for books are: Snow Flower and The Secret Fan for April and The Help in May. So excited to read both of these.

After book club I was really hungry and wanted something quick, I gave Mike a call and he was still working at 7:30. Since neither of us had eaten I ran through a Mediterranean place and got a falafel and lamb gyro meal.

I was really impressed with the quality of the food for a place in the burbs. The lamb had good flavor and the falafels were really well done.

Book Club

March 16, 2010

Tonight makes the first evening of a new book club, I am excited to meet 10 new women and even more excited to talk about a book I really liked! I have tried a few book clubs and have not found one that had exactly what I was looking for and was not a 30 min plus drive. We are meeting at a Dunn Brothers that has a huge fireplace, comfy chairs and my favorite brand of tea- Might Leaf.

I have had my Kindle for a year this week and wanted to look back and see everything that I have read (its a LONG list, I starred the ones that were free Kindle downloads.) 51 books on my Kindle and probably 10 more in traditional book form.

Back To Gray

March 16, 2010

There seems to be a weather pattern of sunny for a a few days and then back to gray and cloudy. Today is the gray and cloudy pattern, it was drizzling on my way to work.  At least its a work day and not a weekend ;) I had planned on going to the gym today but sleep won, I reached over and allowed myself an extra glorious hour. The gym will be waiting for me tomorrow.

Breakfast was a new green monster creation

-4 HUGE handfuls of Spinach

-Almond Milk

-Frozen Mango

-Pom Juice

-2 Scoops of Amazing Grass

-2 Scoops of Chocolate Protein Powder

The Pom Juice and the Mango add a nice tartness, I like this combo!
