It was such a gorgeous day and I knew that I needed to get outside! Clifford and I went on a 45 minute walk to enjoy the 72 degree temperatures and explore all the new walking paths in the neighborhood. They are so amazing, winding with hills and through woods. Clifford had a stopped and sniffed every single tree, stick and bush so it was a slow walk but so nice just to stop and take in the scenery.
Mike is out with a friend for the evening so I was on my own for dinner and a bowl of cereal was exactly what I wanted. I don’t eat cereal and milk all that often because I could eat the whole darn box. At the grocery store on Sunday the Kix were calling my name and they were on sale and I had a coupon so at least it was a bargain
Remember all the commercials that always said Kid Tested, Mother Approved?
Off to veg out on the couch with a cup of tea, a few magazines and my cuddly dog. My idea of a perfect alone evening.
What is/was your favorite cereal?
Good Morning! It is a beautiful day in Minnesota, we are heading to the 70′s. It hasn’t been that warm since September. I am so looking forward to going outside over lunch and soaking up just a bit of Vitamin D. Since it is the first really warm day since September I am wearing a skirt without tights, leggings or boots. GASP! I have my bare and very very pale legs showing. I rock my paleness and know that there will be no skin cancer for this ghostly white blonde.
Now that it is getting warmer I want to break out the cute spring clothes but I hesitate, I know we will have another stretch of really cold days and we are not done with snow. Knock on wood but we haven’t gotten any snow in March and this has never happened (well at least since they started tracking weather in the late 1800′s) and I know we will be paying for this somehow someway. Spring also makes me want to shop for some bright colored clothes and sandals, but I am holding off until they go on sale and it is truly warm enough to wear them on a regular basis.
Breakfast at the desk this morning was a Green Monster made with banana, almond milk, spinach, a bit of Pom Wonderful and 2 scoops of Amazing Grass Pomegranate Peach. Seeing me drink this my co-workers gasped and I have earned the label of weird healthy food eater at this workplace too. Oh well, I would rather have that label that junk food queen or frozen meal eater
Blackberry Sage tea and a clementine paired nicely with the Green Monster and I feel satiated and happy. I am ready for a day of gorgeous weather and potentially a happy hour with friends.
