Bags and Bags

Tis another Saturday where we have about a million and one things going on, we woke up about 7 and relaxed a bit while watching Criminal Minds and then headed to the gym. Since we moved we are closer to another location of our gym that isn’t quite as nice as the other one but it makes do. It was very busy this morning but we were able to snag two ellipticals together and pump out 30 minutes of cardio. I read the May issue of Bon Appétit and drooled over all the travel articles about Spain, France and Italy. Today was a leg day and we did squats, deadlifts, leg extension, leg curls, leg press and calf raises. My legs are tired and I have a feeling it might be hard to sit tomorrow ;) I also saw one of the contestants on this season of Biggest Loser and they looked great!! I am so proud of people who take their health back and get into the gym and start eating healthier.

 

I was pretty hungry when we got home so I blended up 2 Green Monsters with the last of our huge tub of spinach, 1 banana, a few strawberries, almond milk, 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, 2 scoops of Chocolate Amazing Grass and a squeeze of agave. Delicious and filling, even Mike likes them :)

Since I am heading to run errands and go to a baby shower I packed a lunch bag full of snacks to tide me over throughout the day. A sandwich thin with turkey, pepper jack cheese, cucumbers and a bit of miracle whip, I have a handful of pretzels, almonds, a Pink Lady apple and a Chex Mix Turtle Bar for dessert. All good car food.
