We had a couples dinner last night at Samba Brazilian Restaurant in Hopkins. Samba has only been open a few months and we thought it would be a great time to try some authentic Brazilian food. This place was amazing! We had fantastic service, the food was full of great flavor and the conversation was even better. There were 8 couples at dinner and we all had a great time and really enjoyed the food. Mike and I each started with a
Caipirinha de Sake (Dry sake, pineapple, strawberry and sugar)

Since Samba does not have a full liquor license they can only serve beer and wine and sake is considered wine they use it as a substitute for the sake. Unfortunately it was not as good as a traditional Caipirinha. For an appetizer we split two pastel, which are similar to empanadas. We had one with seasoned ground beef and one with hearts of palm. These had a light fry and the hearts of palm had a really good flavor.
For our entree’s we each had Churrasco (Barbecued top sirloin, pork &
sausages, served with rice, farofa, beans & vinaigrette)

The meat was cooked perfectly (med-rare) and their rice has a flavor combination that is so good. I could have eaten a whole plate of it!
