Good Earth

July 15, 2010

After the Culinary Event last night we stopped to get a bite to eat at Good Earth, even at 8pm they places was PACKED. Definitely the sign of a good restaurant with even better food. Good Earth focuses on using local food that is often organic and having unique but healthy dishes on their menu.

I had a cup of the Sweet and Spicy tea and we both ordered the Just Right for You dinner that had a choice of salad or soup, chicken or salmon and fruit or lemon cake. I had a small salad with a citrus vinagrette, a small plate of chicken with veggies and a bowl of fruit to end. I love getting small plates, I am not a huge meal eater and love being able to have just the right amount of a few things. Perfect way to eat dinner in my mind!

Mike had the veggie and bean soup, a lovely salmon with a salad and raspberry dressing and a bowl of fruit to end.

As we were pulling into the drive way I noticed how amazing the sky looked at 9:20 at night. The one benefit of living in the Midwest is how late it stays light out. It was gorgeous last night and I needed to snap a picture.

I love The Good Earth. It has been around for YEARS! I know there are so many wonderful places in the Twin Cities, but I still crave going there when I visit.
