This weekend was the first weekend in a long time that we completely disconnected; no phones, computers, internet and no work! We took a mini cabin getaway up to New Auburn, WI with a few friends and their kids. The cabin is in Heather and Steve’s family and they spend many weekends up there during the summer and they invited us to come along and relax.
There were 6 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs and about a million mosquitoes most of the weekend and an extra 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog last night. It was a weekend packed full of catching up with friends, cooking, having the kid make pasta, tubing, checking out a haunted house next door and sitting around the campfire.
The rest of the evening will include relaxing, some cleaning and definitely heading to bed early! We need to disconnect more often, it is so nice to turn some of the stress off.
