Mike and I met up with our friend Mike at McCoy’s in St. Louis Park for a catch-up happy hour and dinner. Jen, Mike and their twins live on the other side of the metro from us and it is really hard to find a time that works for all us. I wish we could see them more than we do. Mike called to suggest a happy hour and dinner because Jen and the twins were out of town. If we can’t get the whole family we will at least take one
We met up at McCoy’s for catch-up and good eats. I started with a Crispin Pear Cider and some Beer Pretzels which were warm, chewy and had a nice flavor from the caraway seeds and three dipping sauces. Yum!
I can never finish a restaurant meal so Mike and I opted to share the Walleye Basket with Pesto Aioli, cole slaw and a few fries. I could barely even finish my half! It was a pretty impressive fish basket, not soggy and the cole slaw reminded me of a fish fry in Wisconsin.
