I was one of 40 bloggers invited to taste 8 Red wines from Chile. I was really excited about this! 8 new bottles of wine to try and watching one of 180 Master Sommeliers in the world talk about wine, a perfect evening in my opinion. I put out the red onion dip and veggies, potato and bacon frittatas, some of white chocolate candy mix and we had wine ready to go!

We tried-

  1. 2005 Valdivieso Eclat ($27 a bottle)
  2. 2006 De Martino Singlue Gineayrd Old Bush Vines ($45 a bottle)
  3. 2008 Estampa Gold Assemblage Carmenere ($22 a bottle)
  4. 2008 Montest Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon ($15 a bottle)
  5. 2006 Marquis Lien ($19 a bottle)
  6. 2008 Hacienda Arucano Clos de Loloi ($23 a bottle)
  7. 2007 Emiliana Coyam ($29 a bottle)
  8. 2007 Casas del Bosque Gran estate Selection Private Reserve ($50 a bottle)

As a group we really enjoyed number 2 and 4 but truthfully they were all delicious.

We invited our friends Cathy and Mike and few neighbors over to taste some of this amazing wine. This was a really cool experience, we got to socialize, learn about wine and see see a webinar and hear the winemakers talk about their wine.
