Travel is not just an international occurrence there are so many gorgeous places to visit in the U.S. So I thought I would interrupt the International Reviews for a U.S. place that is a blast to visit. I grew up about 2 1/2 hours from Madison and went there for a few times in high school for state athletic tournaments but I didn’t really start visiting as a tourist until I had a few high school friends attend college there and again when I started going to football games with Mike.
A beautiful city surrounded by lakes and scenery, Madison is perfect in the summer and fall. Of course it is nice in the winter too but warm temperatures make me much happier
Some of the obligatory stops- visiting the University of Wisconsin campus, walking up and down State Street and seeing the capitol.
Favorite Part: Being surrounded by culture. You see so many things on State Street
Not So Favorite Part: There are not enough hotels downtown!
Coming Up Next Week: Part 1 of Many of Italy (I promise this time)
Miss any of the other Travel Thursday posts?

I really like Madison as well! It has a great small town feel and it hasn’t lost it’s mom and pop shop appeal (but I was there last five years ago, things could have changed).
