My little brother and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in late February/early March (although we are all insisting hoping she will be born in February since both Paul and I have Feb. birthdays). It was really fun to watch them get excited about Katherine’s arrival and all the preparations they are making for her.
I have never bought so many presents for a person who isn’t even here yet, but she got officially spoiled this Christmas. I think I counted at least 15 outfits from different family members. She is going to be one well dressed little girl 
Especially with me as an Auntie. Who better than to get her going at an early age with good food, cute clothes and travel. That’s what Aunts are for right? I will save the wine until she is 21 though.

I don’t take a random day off just to do nothing very often but I planed to take the 27th off just in case weather was bad and I ended up needing to stay in Wisconsin another day. Thankfully the weather cooperated and I was able to get home yesterday.
Today is going to be errand running day, I am going to get a good workout in, get Clifford to the groomers, go grocery shopping and just enjoy the day. Maybe I will go to Caribou and read for awhile, I have a few new cookbooks to read and find recipes to make and I am about 2 months behind on magazines.
My Mom get me a signed copy of Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals and like I do with all cookbooks I paged through the whole thing and marked the recipes I wanted to make. A few on my list for this week are:
White Chicken Chili
Giant Stuffed Mushrooms
Edamame and Bulgur Salad
Today I am taking joy in the simple things, I will get a good workout in and Clifford will be much cuter once he gets groomed. As much as I love him he is looking a bit mangy 
I have one other new addition in my life who is pretty darn cute, my roommates dog Tuscany. I had both of of them sleeping with me and there is nothing better than puppy cuddling to make you smile.
