I met my blog friend Kate for lunch yesterday at Brasa; it has been a few months since we had caught up and we were due for a good girlfriend chat. She picked Brasa since it is near where she lives and surprisingly I had never been!
Brasa has been on my list for quite some time and I was ready for a good filing lunch! We decided to get 1/4 pound of chicken and the beef and then single servings of sides to share. There was greens with smoked turkey, beans and rice, mashed potatoes and corn bread. Everything was so delicious! But the beef was my favorite, I am not normally a huge BBQ beef lover but this was delicious. Just a bit sweet and tangy and very tender. Yum!

Today I am thankful for girlfriends, I have had more lunches and dinners the past two months and my girlfriends have been amazing and so supportive! Even though I am finding some new social groups I have a handful of incredible girlfriends who have given great advice

Next time you go to Brasa, you HAVE to try one of their sandwiches – we’ve had pork and beef and they were both AMAZING!

I don’t get together with my girl friends nearly as often as I should – but its hard because I had my daughter at 23, and some of my friends are just having kids in their early 40′s – so while they are talking about diapers with their kids, my daughter is in college!
That pulled bbq beef? YUM!
