Café Maude

February 13, 2011

Friday night I visited Café Maude for a belated birthday dinner and it was fantastic! We had great service, good food and an even tastier drink. It was pretty packed for a Friday night but thankfully we had reservations and got a table pretty quickly.

I searched the drink menu for something unique and decided on a drink called the Stockholm Syndrome. With aquavit, lemon, lingonberry and sherry it was a pretty pink cocktail with a punch!

The food at Café Maude is meant to be share, we split a few small plates, and two sides. Tuscan Rice and Cheddar Croquettes, Lamb Skewers, Brussel Sprouts with onion and apple, and Mac and Cheese. All of it was amazing, especially the dish of cheesy goodness!

I actually ordered dessert, it was a belated birthday celebration so I figured why not! A piece of perfectly salty sweet pecan pie with cranberries. One word- heaven.

I need to go back to Café Maude a few times just to try everything else on the menu that looked just as good. Now just how soon will I go back…
