Scusi

February 22, 2011

Scuisi opened in the old Heartland space a few months ago and I had not had a chance to check it out. It was really high on my list because of good Italian food and a huge wine list. What was I waiting for?

We grabbed a spot at the bar and decided on wine and some dishes to share. Homemade rosemary crackers and butter. Yes please!

Warm olive assortment, even better!

Delicous roasted vegetables (I actually voluntarily ate the beets!) and a pizza with artichokes, roasted peppers, cerignola olives, marinated mushrooms, Buffala mozzarella, san marzano sauce. It was seriously delicious!

But my favorite part was the large wine tap! Can I PLEASE have one of these in my house. You just walk over and turn on the top and out comes wine. Seriously. I think I am in love.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, we had great service sitting at the bar and the wine selection was really good. In the mood for some plates to share and good wine, check out Scusi!

Will I go back? Yes. I must find out how to get one of those wine taps in my house.

Those wine taps would be very dangerous at my house.

Love the wine tap.

What kind of selection was on the menu? Veg friendly?

A few veg friendly options for each course, pasta, pizza, salads and sides. I think it would even ok for a vegan.

I want a wine tap for my house too!

I didn’t know Heartland closed. Bummer we didn’t make it there last trip and had it on our list for this summer’s trip. Although, Scusi looks like a wonderful replacement!

Heartland actually moved to a bigger location Downtown St. Paul and when you guys are in town next it is a must go to!

Ummm…that pizza looks ridiculous — yum! I’m hitting up Galactic Pizza tonight, myself :) Ever had it?!
