Warrior Sculpt

February 24, 2011

I was in need of some stress relief and figured what would be the best way to do that. Yoga! I found a class on the schedule at LifePower and grabbed my stuff and went. Warrior Sculpt is a mixture of yoga, cardio, and weights in a heated room.

The room was about 90, with a nice warm fireplace going. I grabbed a mat, a set of 3 pound and 5 pound weights and was ready to get my Warrior Sculpt on. Tera, the instructor, was very energetic and new how to get us moving. We did lots of Sun A’s, mixed in some cardio and plyometrics and had about 10 solid minutes of abs. I was sore by the end of the class!

Last night’s class was the first time I have been in a class that there was more guys than girls! I love seeing guys in yoga working hard and we worked hard in class. By the time we were done I was completely drenched in sweat. Thank goodness for the great showers that LifePower has.

Surprisingly I am not that sore today! My lower back is a bit tight but I am feeling very good. I may do a late afternoon workout after an appointment to loosen my back up.

Have you ever gone to a yoga sculpt class? Did you like it?

I’ve never done a yoga sculpt class but have always found yoga sculpts me in general, especially a hard vinyasa class. Sigh, I miss yoga right now!

The only yoga classes I have been to are at my gym so there’s definitely nothing like that. Sounds like a great workout!
