I don’t talk about everything going on in my life on the blog for personal reasons, but over the weekend we received some very sad news. I am sharing this because I know my cousin will appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. My cousin Stacey lost her five month old son on Friday. He went down for his nap and did not wake up. My mom called and told me the horrific news. In my mind this should never happen and a child should never be taken away from the parent that loves them so much!
Since I live 6+ hours away I had not been able to spend too much time with Landon but I did have the chance to snap so very cute pictures of him over Christmas.

Please keep my cousin Stacey in your thoughts and prayers. I will be heading to Wisconsin after work on Wednesday to attend the funeral. The same time I am in Wisconsin my Brother and his girlfriend will most likely become parents. This is such a bittersweet time in my family, celebrating the life of Landon and potentially welcoming in a new life in Katherine.
A few months ago there was a Living Social deal for Sunday Dim Sum at Tom Pham’s Wondrous Azian Kitchen and I bought that one immediately. I LOVE Dim Sum and couldn’t want to try all the tasty options at Wondrous Azian Kitchen.
I met my friend Jess and we headed downtown to snag a table with our 11:30 reservation. The place was packed and I am glad we had a reservation! We got seated and realized it was restaurant week and they had unlimited Dim Sum for $20 a person and that was an even better deal than my Living Social deal. Guess that just means I will need to go again soon
We each ordered a Bloody Mary and anxiously awaited the cart to come by with lots of choices. Before we even had a chance to think there was sushi magically at our table. Mmmm sushi was my first though and I dug right in without taking a minute to look and see that it had cream cheese in it. Thankfully I managed to avoid taking a bite and avoid having to and get Benadryl so I would be able to breathe. Crisis averted!

The next hour was spent catching up and choosing lots of interesting items from the cart. Dumplings, steamed buns, egg rolls, and yummy broccoli with an oyster sauce.

My favorite was the pork buns and Jess really loved the egg rolls. Since I do have a Living Social deal I will be going back and soon for some more Dim Sum! My one complaint is that our service was pretty slow, I know they were busy so I do understand but I think we waited about 20 minutes to get our check. At least I had good company.
We headed to do some retail therapy after lunch and we each somehow ended up with two pairs of shoes. Did I need new shoes, no. But they were on sale at DSW and super cute. Nine West suede booties in a brownish gray. They were so cute I needed to wear them today
