With another rainy weekend day and a need to visit some family down at Mayo the s.o. and I headed down to Rochester and figured why not stop at some wineries in that area. We picked two from the Minnesota Wineries List and stopped at Whitewater Wines.
The first winery on the list was Whitewater Wines, about half hour outside of Rochester. We were greeted by the obligatory cute winery dog and Winnie the Pooh Style writing with the signs.
Whitewater has not even been open for a year and they already had 17 wines to try and for $6 dollars you go to try them all and even got a little snack of sausage and cheese. Hello amazing and friendly staff! A short stop turned into almost 2 hours there! We tried all the wines, talked with the owner and her husband, I gave her about 15 marketing ideas, convinced her to do a Groupon and signed her up for Twitter (follow them @Whitewater Wines). I think I may have found my dream side business, I can be the Minnesota Winery consultant that helps them get started with a marketing and social media plan all while taking a few pictures. Hmmm. Maybe I could actually do that?
Ready for your vocab lesson of the day? Did you know any of those. I did not.
$232,692 for a bottle of wine? Would that even be worth it?
