What happens when you get a group of about 20 women bloggers together for an evening of delicious food, wine, spa services like facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, and a restorative yoga class? 20 really happy and relaxed ladies. We chatted about life, dogs, flowers, workouts, significant others, blogging, being true to yourself when writing and about a million other things.
The event was sponsored by Lifetime Fitness in Uptown and The Herb Box Catering and had a chance to chat while enjoying some healthy snacks, we took turns heading back for spa services and ended the evening with 30 minutes of very relaxing yoga. I started with a mini massage and felt so much better after Dave worked out the tension in my neck and upper shoulders. I will admit to being a ton of pain during since that is the area where I hold all my tension but I was pretty relaxed after. I think I need to schedule an hour long massage with him, he focuses on specific muscle work and I really need that.
A last minute opening gave me the opportunity to get a mini pedicure which was a bit of nail cleanup and a polish. Black Cherry Chutney was my color of choice, nice and dark to show off the toes in sandals.

The evening ended with about 30 minutes of Restorative Yoga. Was it easy? Nope. I have so much trouble truly relaxing and shutting off the brain that it was really challenging to lay in Goddess Pose with a bolster under me, blanket to sit on, an eye pillow to relax in a comfortable and soothing room. My brain would just not stop. I may need to check out a few classes to work on quieting the mind.
