Best way to spend a summer Friday evening? Hit up a beautiful patio in South Minneapolis for some delicious Italian food. Al Vento is one of my favorite restaurants, I love the fact that their menu changes daily, the servers are always very helpful and they have a fantastic patio in the summer. A great place to spend a few hours eating good food, drinking good wine and enjoying friends and family.

Starters of bruschetta and muscles with white wine, garlic and red chili flakes. I like muscles but only if they are prepared well and these were pretty darn good. We had a few extra baskets of bread to soak up all that delicious sauce.
Entrees of wild boar pasta (x2), fish (I can not remember what kind of fish the s.o.’s sister had) and a fennel sausage and chevre pizza
It was such a nice evening to sit outside, a few hours goes quickly when you enjoying good wine and conversation

This is one of our favorite spots as it’s only 6 blocks from our house. Their food is consistent and the outdoor patio is divine. Plus -their bread is amazing!

I can’t remember if I’ve been here before….I think so, but it was dark and the middle of winter, so it looked totally different!! Ha!
