Wine Wednesday: Armida Winery

November 9, 2011

Bonus of being in San Francisco over the weekend is getting to see my cousin Garrett and heading up to the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma for some wine tasting. Now I don’t want to spoil all the fun and do all the wineries in one post, that seems like too much to show on such a fun day.

Garrett works in the wine industry and picked out a few interesting wineries to visit. The first one on the list Armida winery, about an hour and half from San Francisco near Healdsburg. Beautiful scenery, good wine and chance to catch up with my cousin. Good afternoon in my mind!

I had the complimentary tasting while Garrett went for the reserve for $10 dollars (he has an industry card so he didn’t pay for any samples)

What a fun trip! I love Zinfandel so I’ll have to seek out the Maple Vineyards :-)
