There is always a plethora of new place to try in the Twin Cities, Urban Eatery was at the top of my list. A great location in Uptown that overlooks Lake Calhoun and has a modern/open feel and a very interesting menu.
The boyfriend and I were in the mood to share so we choose duck nachos and a chicken pot pie. The nachos were delicious, smoked duck, beans and cheese. What is not to like about that!
After polishing off every crumb on the plate we split a chicken pot pie with a flakey pastry crust. Rich broth, fresh vegetables and big pieces of mushrooms. Seriously delicious comfort food.
I really hope Urban Eatery makes it, there have been at least 3 other restaurants in this space. With a unique menu, interesting drinks and wine lists, and really good service. I think we will be back for the bloody mary bar on a Sunday…

I have been there too with Brian and we really liked it. They have a great happy hour too. In the summer it’s nice to be around Lake Calhoun and then take a walk there for some yummy food and drink!
