Wine Wednesday: Sasyr Sangiovese & Syrah

January 11, 2012

Pairings in Minnetonka is a favorite date spot for Scott and I. They have good happy hour specials and we can walk over to the wine shop and pick out a good wine to enjoy with our dinner.

Our latest pick? A 2008 Sasyr Sangiovese &Syrah. 60% Syrah and 40% Sangiovese. A smooth easy drinking wine with subtle hints of oak, blackberry and a deep ruby red color. And at around $15 dollars a bottle very very drinkable. Deep enough flavor to be reminiscent of  a special wine but a good price tag for everyday drinking.

My husband and I will really be getting over to this place soon. I’m dying to try it. $15 is great to be able to drink at the restaurant for that price :0
