I can’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful late Sunday afternoon than at a wine bar in Minneapolis with my MN Food Blogger friends tasting and judging Bloody Mary’s. A close to 40 degree day in February is normally hard to come by, but this winter has been so mild that this seems to be commonplace.
Our monthly Food Bloogers event was held at Toast Wine Bar in Minneapolis, it was a chance for my food blogger friends to enter their Bloody Mary’s recipes to be judged. We sampled 4 small shots of the mix before deciding on which entry would be our Bloody Mary mixer. Mixed with a very generous amount of Parallel 45th Vodka out of New Richmond, WI. Lovely, smooth vodka that is the perfect match to a good bloody mary mix.
An afternoon of snacks like cheese, pizza, a fantastic meat tray, toastini’s and of course Bloody Mary’s. The winning mix was the Asian Pepper Pot with a good amount of spice and nose clearing wasabi finish.
A perfect sunny Summer afternoon spent with great foodie friends. I always look forward to the next event.
