My love of Spanish wines is well documented, considering that Scott and I pretty much drank our weight in local wine when we were there made it an even easier decision when Campo Viejo offered to send me a bottle of their rioja to try.
This was the perfect glass of wine for a Saturday night, to relax after a busy day with a nice spicy Rioja that was balanced with fruit. It pairs nicely with red meats, roasts and cheese. Add in that it is usually under $9 dollars a bottle.
Good price, easy drinking, and perfect for everyday.
