This past weekend we were up in Scott’s part of the metro doing a few projects and helping his parents move furniture around before new carpeting was installed this week. As a much needed break during all the projects we headed to Za’s in Forest Lake to enjoy some beautiful weather, sit by the lake, and dig in to some darn good pizza.
It still looks like the usual winter brown and blah but it was 70+ degrees around 6:30 in the evening. Sitting outside like that has given me a bad case of Cabin Fever and I am itching to spend some real time outside. (I also love that the Christmas lights are still up, normally we still have pretty significant snow cover)
It was packed and we had a 15 minute wait for a table and another 30-45 minute wait for pizza but to be sitting out on a patio Mid-March it was worth it. We had the Italian Rose pizza with Rose Sauce (1/2 Garlic Cream 1/2 Tomato Sauce), Italian Sausage, Red Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives and Artichoke Hearts.
I had a piece and a half was stuffed after, this pizza was overflowing with toppings and cheese. Just how I like it.
