India Palace

April 7, 2012

Indian food makes me so happy, delicious and unique flavors and it is easy to share. Scott and I can grab dinner and split an appetizer, naan, and an entrée and we still end up with a little leftover. We stopped at India Palace for dinner before attempting to go see the Hunger Games. That plan didn’t work so well unfortunately. We didn’t leave enough time for dinner and it was busier than we thought it would be. Seeing Hunger Games got moved to another night.

This was only the second time Scott had tried Indian food and I think I finally have a convert. He is more familiar with the flavors now and knows what to expect. Trying something for the first time can be rather intimidating when you have no idea what you are eating or what any of the spices are.

Papadum to start. Basically the Indian version of chips made with lentils. I could eat these everyday. Seriously addicting.

We ordered paleek paneer, a cheese made with a chickpea coating and fried.

Lamb makhani, pieces of lamb in a tomato sauce with spices. My favorite Indian dish! We got medium + and it had just the right amount of heat for me, Scott always wants it spicier. This is the guy who has gone through 4 bottles of hot sauce in a few months.

The required naan for dipping in the sauce.

Loved the food, our service was a bit slow but they were packed. I am just happy to see the place packed and that more people are getting out and trying Indian food.
