When I was cleaning up my Windows Live Writer and looking at drafts of posts I came across posts from Spain and Portugal that never got published. These needed to be shared!
The two days we had in Madrid were the perfect amount of time. We walked the city, saw the Royal Palace, went room by room in the Prado, and ate delicious tapas while enjoying house wine. Minus the few little travel snafus we have had a great time.
I think my favorite thing about Madrid was walking from the square to square. Since I love my guide books so much (I think I have a travel crush on Rick Steve’s) we did a leisurely stroll from the Royal Palace to the Puerto de Sol. The people watching, the shops, the amazing architecture. I love it all.
My wanderlust has been satisfied for a few weeks… But I usually start dreaming about the next trip on the way home.
