Well into week 7 of Bootcamp and I thought I would be deep into the workouts, but sometimes plans change.
I had some minor surgery last Wednesday and figured I would only miss one workouts. I was so wrong. I ended up not being able to workout until this morning because of my doctors orders. After having some complications and dealing with an infection I was told I needed to back off and take it easy. That doesn’t mean that I did nothing all week, I was extra careful in my eats and took the dogs for walks a few times.
I did 30 minutes of slower cardio and a short weight workout, my goal is to be back on Bootcamp workouts by Sunday.
Tips on taking a break:
- Go for short slow walks just to feel like you are moving and staying active
- Take the days off as an opportunity to focus on eating healthy foods
- Just take a week off, sometimes your body just needs the rest
- When you start working out again take it easy and slowly work back up to the level you were at. You don’t want to burn out!
