Last week of Bootcamp. Those 8 weeks went fast! I was crazy busy, had a few work trips, a surgery, we sold a house, and we moved. But I still managed to get most of my workouts in, except for when I was off because of surgery. I feel strong and am really glad I did something different for 8 weeks.
What I learned:
- I need to work on liking cardio more, when I get in a zone and am doing intervals I feel so good after.
- My body responded really well to changing up workouts more often, I will keep that in mind as I look for my next program.
- Pushing myself is worth it. I should be pushing hard every single workout.
- I will definitely do another bootcamp!
In other thoughts, I need to decide if I will keep getting ready at the gym. We moved very close to my gym location and our place is in between the gym and work. The question, do I keep getting ready there? It started as a necessity when I would drive to a gym location close to work and it would have been 20-40 minutes to drive back home in traffic and then drive back to work. That just didn’t make sense. I got a gym bag and filled it with what I needed to get ready in the morning, my routine was done in 20-25 minutes and I would be on my way to work.
But now I end up passing home on the way to work after the gym. Do I keep getting ready there and using their water, electricity and towels that I pay for? Or do I drive back home (3-5 minutes) and get ready there? Am I wasting time driving to the gym, driving home and then driving to work? I am planner and really like to be organized and this may seem silly that I put this much thought into it but I am all about making the best use of my time.
