As much as I would love to live a life where I only went to the hottest, locally owned, organic or special restaurant; I am a real person. I have a normal job in the suburbs and sometimes we go out to eat for lunch. Usually we pick a place that will have something that everyone will like and that we can eat in an hour or less. Real life! There is a Noodles just down the street from the office, and I happen to like it, they have healthier options that a lot of other fast casual places and just introduced a new line of salads. They offered to send me a coupon to try one of their new salads and Scott and headed there for lunch when he had a random day off because of rain.
I ordered the Chili Lime and Ginger Seared Chicken Salad, spring greens in a chili-lime ginger dressing with mint, peanuts, wonton strips, rice noodles and chicken. I was impressed! This was a really high quality salad priced for $7.95, at a traditional sit down restaurant this would be at least $12 dollars. Fresh lettuce and really good flavors. Between Scott and I we finished off a regular Wisconsin Mac and Cheese and this salad. I NEVER eat everything on my plate, but I was hungry and this was a surprisingly good salad! Thanks to Noodles for giving Scott and I an excuse to have a lunch time date. Much appreciated!
Want to win a coupon to try a regular sized salad or bowl at Noodles? Just tell me your favorite salad ingredient (besides lettuce). I will pick a random winner on Friday morning.
