Tequila Tuesday Herradura

January 29, 2013

Anytime the word tequila is spoken around Scott his ears perk up and he snaps right to attention. That boy loves tequila. Me? It has grown on me. From margaritas to just sipping on a nice aged tequila I am surprised by how much I like it now.

Tequila Herradura, is an 100 percent blue agave tequila that is produced naturally and has zero carbohydrates. With a 11 month, a 2 year and the silver tequila. The day that these samples showed up Scott was so excited about opening them. He wondered what to make first but settled on sipping the 2 year and making a beergarita with the other.

Now that our liquor cabinet is overflowing with tequila we might need to get adventerous with the cocktails. I am still trying to convince Scott to try this one, I could use my juicer and make a cocktail!

My ears perk up too . . . margaritas are my favorite!! Herradura is a great silver tequila. I’ve never heard this drink, though, but it reminds me a bit of bloody mary, just with a carrot juice base instead of tomato. Very interesting!

I think I need to try some REALLY good tequila. I just never like it!! I might be able to handle a beer-garita though!
