On Saturday night before heading to see the Gear Daddies play at The Fine Line in Minneapolis Pete, Gretchen, Mike and I went to grab dinner at Ike’s in Minneapolis. Ike’s is one of those places that seems like it has been around forever but it is relatively new, they just did a great job at making it seem like a 40’s style lounge. They are known for their class cocktails and burgers and we all ended up ordering a burger! We split a starter of potstickers that got eaten so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture. I ordered the turkey burger that came with cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and gravy. This was delicious and so filling that I only ate about half of it.
Mike had a patty melt and fries, he thought the melt was ok but the fries were awesome.
After dinner we headed to Fine Line around 9:30 to try and secure our viewing spot for the Gear Daddies, as much as I love live music I much prefer seats instead of being bumped into and stepped on! The concert was great as always and it was after 1:30 by the time that we headed back to the hotel.
